How a refrigerator repair visit works
The technician checks the temperatures in both compartments, listens to the compressor and fans, inspects the evaporator for ice patterns, tests the defrost heater and thermostat, and reads the control board. You get a written quote before any part is replaced, and the service call fee is credited toward the repair.
If the part is on the truck, most refrigerators are repaired in the first visit (60 to 90 minutes). Control boards, sealed-system parts and model-specific items are ordered against your serial number and fitted on a second visit; you pay the service call once.
